It’s Valentines Day, and you know what that means?

It’s a day to indulge…in Chocolate of course! Now if you are like me, and have a sweet tooth, I’ve got a sweet heart recipe for you today; that will satisfy your cravings and keep you on track to your health goals.

A great and healthy alternative to satisfy your cravings.

Healthy Chocolate Bark

Ingredients:
1 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup unsweetened cacao powder
1//2 cup nut butter
1/2 cup soaked dates (soak in bowling water form 20 min) – blended till smooth with 1/2 of liquid, or use 1/2 cup maple syrup instead
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 Tbs vanilla extract
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup dried cranberries or frozen pomegranate
1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

Directions:
Melt coconut oil and nut butter. Stir until creamy.
Add sea salt, date mixture, vanilla, cocoa powder and mix well
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pour the melted chocolate on the pan
Top with shredded coconut, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries or your favourite topping
Freeze for 45 minutes
Break into pieces and store in a closed container in the freezer

Tip: Want it more sweet – add more dates, want more chocolate flavour – add more cacao, flavour too strong? – add more coconut oil.
